Keep an Open Mind For Fat Loss and Do Not Give Up – 5 Ways to Slim Down

by Roy on October 25, 2010

As you get fatter your energy level goes down. It is a very simple equation. You lose belief that you will ever slim down and you sink in self petty. Let me tell you something. If you do not believe in yourself, no one will. If you do not prepare to help yourself – no one will and you will just sink deeper and deeper in self petty and be a very sick person. But if you give yourself half a chance and try to lose all that extra fat you carry in you then magic things can happen and you will realize that, hey, after all it is possible, but you have to make a decision here – are you going to remain fat all your life or are you going to do something about it.

If you never buy a lotto ticket you cannot complain you never have won the lotto, right? So – it is time to get your bottom of the couch, throw the bag of chippies to the rubbish bin, and do the following:

  1. Make a mental decision. I have Crohn’s disease, and I used to smoke. I noticed that smoking damages my health significantly since I was diagnosed with Crohn’s. I made a decision to quit smoking. I made that decision in my head first. A strong decision that from now on I do not lit up again, ever. Did it work? It did but it was a slow process and took me 5 years from the time I made that decision until I smoked the last cigarette, but the point I make here is that it did happen to me because I wanted and tried to quit. You can do the same – just make that mental decision first and start exercise and eat highly nutritious food. You will see results in no time.
  2. Educate yourself. If you would have known what bad diet does to your body you would have done something about ages ago. Junk food is poison to your body, it torture your body to death and in the age of 50-60 you find yourself with cancer or diabetes or god knows what and you get a scare because of that. Educate yourself, read and learn about nutrition and exercise and why you should adopt these ideas. I for once provide you here with tons of free information about bad diet, good diet, all type of exercise, sarcopenia -all type of programs to treat all sorts of chronic diseases and lots more.
  3. Commit to it. It all starts in the mental decision you made, this is the seed you plant, from there everything will be a result of that and you will be on your way to achieve your fat loss goals.
  4. Invest in some dumbbells and a swiss ball. OK here in New Zealand we call a stability ball a swiss ball, I do not know why, but this and some dumbbells are a vital equipment and a small investment if you want to achieve serious results.
  5. Combine all the above. Now imagine if you make that decision, learn a little about fat loss and nutrition, commit yourself to follow a good diet and exercise, and buy some training gear, sound simple? Well it is simple but it starts with you. Good luck
