Home Gym – Have the Perfect Gym at Home Without Cardio Machines – Use Dumbbells and Stability Ball

Because all you need is a stability ball, or as we call it here in New Zealand a Swiss ball, get yourself an exercise mat and some dumbbells. I am not joking – this is your home gym, you do not need a treadmill that will cost you a few thousands of dollars, you do not need a cross trainer, bicycle or any other fancy and over rated cardio gear.

The dumbbells are your weights, you can do renegade rowing with them, you can do squats, lunges, press ups and many more exercises that – well – you can do at home. These dumbbells are your free weighted objects. Now – here is the thing: doing weight exercises on a stabilized weight machine is not as effective as doing them with a free weight object. When you exercise on a stabilized weight you are doing a set movement by default. That movement is set by the machine that stabilized the weight for you. This is not effective. It is OK but not as good as using a free weight object like dumbbells, Because dumbbells or any other free weight is not stabilized at all you are the one who has to stabilize it when doing the movement. This require much more muscles to work in order to achieve the stabilization. So a machine is effectively disables a big muscle group for you.

Generally speaking, working with a machine in the gym is nowhere as good as doing things at home or in nature. If you look at a treadmill or any other cardio machine it has no features you can find in nature. A treadmill is running on the flat, and even if you switch it to up-hill it is not as running up a real hill in nature.

Now lets look at a stability ball. This is the most non-stable object you can think of. How effective would it be to exercise using it. A stability ball is a natural replacement for many machines you can find at the gym. Best of all – you can use it in the comfort of your own home. Sit-ups, push-ups (with your feet on the ball), and many other cool exercises are done using just one stability ball. You will exercise so many muscles all at once thus burn so many calories and fat all at once.

There really is no reason to spend time and money going to any gym, because you can do everything at home.
